my fist RC tank build long ago, 1/18 scale

I have mentioned my old 21st Century m48 tank build in a few forums so with cabin fever setting in I dug it out and found that I had made the turret rotate and the main gun elevate and depress.
Although I stripped out the hull electric parts long ago the turret still has everything in it. I built this with a hobby grade radio set that I bought for an old Linburg Line PT boat and on old original 21st century Abrams that I stripped parts off of.
I seem to remember that it worked very well but that the rubber band tracks come off on sharp turns and pivot steers occasionally.
I wish someone would come out with a 1/16th scale M48 or M60

Greengiant,
You're not the only one wishing for an M47 or 48'. 'B-12' turned out really well so I've got the itch to do a Patton one of these days. Very nice work there on the 21st Century version.
regards,
Painless

Thanks. I was just desperate at that time to make an rc tank that didn't cost as much as a Tamiya Sherman. Back then they only cost around $200 US and didn't do anything more then what I cobbled together, but they did have a suspension.
