Just wanted to say hello.

In short can't get enough of anything tank related, especially WWII era. Grew up around them and even watched my Dads 6 day old Volvo get squashed by a run-away T-54 at Bovington way back in 1992!! if you're interested https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_w7nRP85So

Thought I'd join the forum as it was through a Google search and this forum I found my next challenge, a 1/16 Cromwell (Courtesy of another forum member , thanks Chris ) . Have a few 1/16 RC tanks, German ( Tiger 1 early and late, Panzer III, Panzer IV, Stug III with Schurzen, Panther) , Russian(T-34/85, KV-1) and American(couple of Shermans) but nothing British. That will shortly be changing, 'Project Cromwell' starts next week!

Not the greatest modeller but I appreciate tanks for what they are.

Regards, Andrew

Good Morning,
Welcome to the Forum. Pictures of your tanks, please when you get the chance. You wouldn't have had anything to do with your Dad's Volvo meeting an untimely end there now, right? ;o)
regards,
Painless

Welcome Andrew, looks like you will fit right in. I had to chuckle when I read the bit about the Volvo, that's not something that you see every day. 8O

Welcome to the forum Macman, that's one great story, not for your dad but I'm sure you had a laugh.
Hope you enjoy your stay here, it's full of really useful info for every type of tank going and the members knowledge and expertise here is second to none.

A very old H/L tiger, has this one around 10 years.
Pre all the upgrades you get now so I bushed all the wheels to reduce friction and put huge load resistors on the motors to give realistic movement
Just added the barrel extension, not painted it yet.
