Hi me again
Finally decided on make and model of tank (torro tiger 1 2.4 gig) but I'm not to keen on the idea of the tank recoil with the bb gun so I'm thinking of paying the little extra to get the ir version it comes with the ir receiver and the recoiling barrel I want is the torro system compatible with other systems? Would I be better off buying the bb version and upgrading in the future?

The top I bought was a IR version but I'm sure someone will be able to answer that and it's one I can watch

You will be able to re-use the IR receiver and the recoil function if you move to a Clark board. I am pretty sure the same is for IBU as well. If you don't upgrade the electronics you will only be able to battle with other Taigen IR tanks and not Tamiya's.

It all depends on how much work you want to do. Obviously with a BB you will need to put in the IR battle system and the recoiling. If the price difference is not much (under $20) I would get the IR version because you know you are all set to upgrade when you want to with regards to the recoil, the IR wiring etc. Don't forget that the IR version would have come with the flash as well so there is more work and money saved.
