hi al well i saw somewhere about fittings two m,f,u's to eliminate track recoil , so i tried it and it works perfect  plus you have extra sockets to plug outher ideas into, got twin sound now brought it up to have more range ,, :) and with the drive motor's being separate to turret functions the tank works like its ( big brother ) i recommend "FORGEBEAR" to buy the second M'F'U good price , i really enjoyd doing this mod and no more jumping around when cannon fire , with having twin "M-F-Us you can add outher ideas "GREAT NEWS " just arrived from germany the "BEIER usm-HL"sound module looks good fitting it to my sherman '''' HAPPY TANKING .

Can you (or anyone else) tell me more about this mod? I have 2 full taigen tigers that are pretty much resigned to the scrap heap but internally everything is fine. Could I use the MFU from one of those in my Torro KT and if so, what difference will it make, aside from removing track recoil?

Just thinking back to my Taigen 2.4 Ghz days I think I tried binding two MFUs to a single radio and it didn't work, and the twin MFU mod is based on two RX-18s sharing the same receiver board, so if my recollection is correct, you cannot use the twin MFU set-up for Taigen 2.4 Ghz MFUs.

Ah well, thanks guys. I'm looking at getting an IBU2 for the Torro anyway, just don't know how to run it past my missus lol.

Hi all sorry I forgot to mention .it for the 2.7 as the RX.is not binding to the receiver.like the 2.4 is . But it perfect for all the older models.and nothing wrong with the old 2.7,when this mod is applied it gives you more than a expensive track recoil unit that only dus that.rather than forking out all that money to upgrade to 2.4. .makes us of the old till it's warn out then upgrade regards.Ray.

Hi if your tank is 2.7. It's the cheap way to get rid of the track recoil.some things you have to do if your ok with soldering wires it just makes since to use the old setup till it worn out I still have 4 old 2.7 tanks and gave them a whole lot more life ... Regards.Ray.

Ok! I'm the one who came up with the idea of the twin RX-18 to cancel the track recoil back in 2011: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=7614

I believe that the same thing can be done with 2 Taigen 2.4 Ghz boards:
- First, make sure that both boards are connected to the power supply and bind to the transmitter.
- Then, on the first board; connect everything except the motors...
- On the second board; connect the motors only...

The track recoil on the Taigen board is triggered by the sound of the main gun and the sound of the main gun is triggered by a switch mounted in the back of the recoil or air-soft system, but since that switch is connected only to the first board; there shouldn't be any recoil from the second board... 8|

So if you have 2 Taigen boards, give it a try... B|

Wouldn't it be cool if you could combine the crystal unit with the digital....putting two 2.4s in one tank just seems like a waste
