Sorry bit of a noob question looking to buy my first tank in the next month and need some advice from you old hands on here.
Do I go for metal tracks wheels and gearboxes straight away? Has anyone had dealings with nitroforce? They have a taigen panzer 1v in black and gray camouflage I like the look of (and the price £109.99) cant find nitroforce in the black list I also can't find an address or phone no for them so are they legit is the deal than good to be true? Many thanks or should that be tanks?

Eddie

Never heard of them, in fact when I do a search for them all I get is exercise equipment. :haha: I like metal tracks and 4.1 hardened steel gearboxes myself but thats because I tend to treat my R/C tanks like they're real tanks and run them as such. But if you like the tank buy it! You can always purchase upgrades later and install them yourself and truly make it your tank.

Any pics of it? I'd like to see it, I promise I won't buy it but it sounds nice.

Nitro force sounds a lot like nitrotek who are most definitely on the black list! I'd avoid them.

From what I've read...Nitrotech/ force..........BAD :haha: Two schools of thought... Personally I purchase the pro model of any brand...just because sourcing parts can make things rather expensive...the other school....is that you buy the basic(anything with smoke and sound)...knowing you are going to upgrade to better than the average metal gearbox.. go with different drive train components etc

Another thing to consider...especially with the new releases that have just come out...you might want to thing about what the tank is made of...if you are going to do serious modifications...like cutting the hull and modding the turret...you probably want to stick with a plastic tank...if you are just going to do detailing with simple add ons...metal is fine...they are more durable in the long run

Then there is cost...being a noob...if you are not sure you like the RC tankery adventure...you may not want to make the investment in a Full metal model...making the normal Pro models the tanks to consider...as they will provide you with a good experience...and foundation to build upon should you really like the hobby :D

Ed, thats a good looking tank and it sounds like it comes with a bunch of upgrades, if you like it get it! However IF they are on the blacklist make sure you use paypal or if you have a credit card that will fight for you if they screw you over. Custom painted tanks don't last long so you may want to grab it up if you like it.

OR, can you airbrush? If so buy one from a known good vendor and paint it yourself!

I would recommend you check the seller's black list ed.... I think there was a post regarding Nitrotech...and it's affiliated aliases :D

Also check the recommended sellers... as there are much better sellers with less sketchy names ;)
