Well done, I bet that's a huge relief. You can get back to more important things now - like radio control tanks. ;D

Good meeting today. Plenty of running, battling and generally talking tanks. We had an addition to the battlefield in the form of an excellent new bridge. :D

Wibblywobbly has posted a video and there were other photos and video taken. Hopefully they will be posted in due course.

Here's a couple, another in progress. The battery went flat when filming the attack on the burning building, which is really annoying, I will have to try again next time.

I've been thinking (you'd better sit down - it's dangerous when I start thinking.) As a battlefield, we have 2 bridges, a couple of fairly level crossing areas plus wibblywobbly's earth track with fences. Nothing really tests out the tank suspension. I've driven the Land Rover test track which is a serious suspension test. We really should having something like that, that is more testing. Not that I'm volunteering at present, but if someone wishes to take up the challenge ........

Does the location of your clubhouse have a piece of waste ground adjacent/nearby ?

That would or could be a good testing ground ?
Battling outdoors with IR in bright sunlight would be a problem though.

I was in Tesco's yesterday and noticed that they were selling rolls of artificial grass 1 m x 4 m. Unfortunately, they were £30 apiece. I'm not sure how competitive £7.50 per sq.m. is.

Hello
How difficult and costly is it to covert a 27Mhz Tamiya tank to 2.4ghz
Thanks
Kevin

You just need to purchase a 2.4ghz transmitter and receiver with the same amount of channels as your 27mhz. I'm using a six channel Carson in my panther g although I'm only using four of them.

This is the one im currently using: https://www.wonderlandmodels.com/produc ... 0wodKb8Mmw
