Taigen T34 Engine problem

Hi all,
my lovely T34 has arrived and I've had a quick play. It makes the noise of starting up/idling and shutdown but when I actually ask the tank to drive the engine noise cuts out completely. As soon as it comes to rest the idling noise returns.
I've sent an e mail to the vendor (RCtank.de) but just thought I would ask on here in case I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks in advance,
Ed

Good morning Steelhammer, I have the Taigen T-34 and it does the same thing when I get the speed up above a crawl. In fact, all of my Taigen tanks are the same way.

Have you tried adjusting the volume knob?

Yes, that non proportional silly up and down noise needs to go away in my opinion.

No, but I did at your advice and the noise was there. I run my volume so that the sounds are just audible.

The only stock sound module that I didn't really care for is the Mato...it stays at a constant idle

...the only change is it starts to squeek as you move
