Hi,
I have a Taigen German Panther (TG3819-1PRO from
http://www.nitrotek.co.uk/rc-tank/1-16- ... 24ghz.html).
Does anybody know where I can get metal sprockets and idler wheels for that? I ordered one pair of those for Heng Long Panther but those do not fit (
http://www.welshdragonmodels.co.uk/taig ... -969-p.asp).
Not related to the topic, but is there any real tank model similar to this RC tank? What I have found looks that the front of the tank is not panthers front.
Regards, Mika

Mika you started by mistakenly buying not a PANTHER but a PANTIGER, a lot of people have been cheated into buying these things and to make things worse you bought your PANTIGER from NITROTEK, If you had searched this sites BLACKLIST you would have seen them there, What you need to do if no one comes forward with helpful advice, is to type PANTIGER into the search box on the top right corner of this page, and scroll down the various entries until the information you need shows up. I am sorry to give you such disappointing news but before you or anybody spends a Cent, Penny, or Kopek you MUST check this Forums BLACKLIST before you buy anything on line.

Hi Mika
Funny you say that, I can't find them anywhere either, I've got a broken idler, I want to sell my Panther but I can't without an idler...I'm seriously doubting you can buy replacements...lets hope someone can help us out...

Hey kae! I made the pantiger mistake to a while ago, the only sprockets/ idlers that will fit are tiger ones, I just use the old pantiger fire parts and target practice now. You can convert them such as add the sloped armour to the front bit is not really quiet it there's so much wrong! Hope that helps anyway dude

I just had a thought! If its not a pantiger, and has taigen gearboxes in heng long sprockets wont fit as the axle diameter is larger on there boxes, you need actually taigen ones!

Hi and thanks
Now I realize the tank i maybe then a Pantiger, I guess it is not any real model at all.
I got information from Welsh Dragon Models (Thanks for them) that their Tiger sprockets and idler wheels should fit. I don't have got information yet should I use early or late ones.
I do not really know about the axles yet do they fit.
The problem with the plastic idlers is that they do not keep the track properly on its position when the tank is turned on the "real" terrain. I hope the metallic ones do the job and make the tank last bit longer.
Btw, I had no troubles with nitrotek, but I did not had any contact with customer service either. At that time I did not found so negative feedback that I would have ordered from different place.
Regards Mika

I went to the US site of Artistic Hobbies and found Taigen part # 120300.
1/16 Taigen Metal Front Drive and Rear Idler Wheels for Panther G & Jagdpanther
TAG120300 - 1/16 Taigen Metal Front Drive and Rear Idler Wheels for Panther G & Jagdpanther. Kit includes 2 bearing, 4 C clips, 2 drive sprockets and 2 idler wheels. Painting Required.
I don't know if these will work but it's all I could find for anything with the word Panther.

I'm with Jarndice ...Kae....the Pantiger is unfortunately the worst HL you could have purchased... with that said...any upgrades for the HL Tiger will work on the lower hull...on detailing the upper ..you are pretty much on your own...Panther parts can be used...but sadly it will take more than that in order to make it right

Joe, Hi, Happy New Year, I am pleased to say I have never owned a PAN TIGER, what I do know is that it is a bastardisation of a PANTHER BODY and a TIGER HULL, the front of the Panther body had to be altered to accommodate the motors and gearboxes of the Tiger hull, so that what is needed is the sprockets and idlers from the Tiger part of this abortion. If it were up to me, I would break it down to it's components and use the bits in other builds.

OK WO2c.....We got the theory base on probably the worst mistake HL ever produced

...Let's give Kae ...a positive suggestion...Like how if he sources a Tiger upper ...the conversion would not only be easy...but totally kosher
By the way WO2c All the best to you and yours in this coming year
