Possible M41 Walker Bulldog Conversion

Hi All,

Being a fan of all things tracked I have always been fascinated by self propelled artillery. Unfortunately the only large scale SP gun I'm aware of is Bandais Hummel. Anyway, I came across some pics of this little beauty and it looks to me that it's based on something very similar to the M41. It's the US M44 SPG and was very widely used. I believe upgraded versions are still in use by the Turkish army.
I think it's a pretty good candidate for a conversion job. Does anyone know if this has been done elsewhere?

Cheers
John

got to agree with rob, john, its very do-able, and it would make an unusual and nice addition to any battle field, has someone nicked the idler  :o ;D or is it built that way?

Thought you would like it.  ;) Where's the 155mm howitzer coming from though?

Tony, the rear idler is the sixth road wheel. The americans did this with a lot of sp artillery pieces that were based on tank chassis.

Cheers
John

i thought it a bit strange someone would nick just the idler and not the whole tank ;D ;D ;D , still you learn something new each day
