Since seeing Hunt for red October as a young un' I've been in awe of the gigantic menacing typhoon SSBN. As a few of you might know I've previously owned an rc Akula attack sub and the British Traphalgar SSN. I sold these to buy a typhoon off Ebay, sadly I was outbid. So when the oppertunity arose to buy one of these leviathans at a crazy price I couldn't pass it up (despite having no where to put it).
This is the 1/100 scale engle model. She's over 1.7m long and weighs in at over 14kg dry. She features working periscopes, lights, retractable fore dive planes. Diving is archived by two 750ml Liston tanks which can be filled independently to adjust the trim.
She came with a robbe f14 transmitter which has twin throttles to aid manoeuvrability.
My sister kindly volunteered

Haha not big enough! Definitely need a bigger bath, I think the paddling pool I used for the Trafalgar is too small too!

When I get the batteries bought and charged I'll get some videos! It's not going to be easy to move and definitely a two man launch and retrieve but I figure why wait till I'm retired and can't manage it any more!
My mrs had a KA, we managed to get a surprising amount in with the seats down but I think your going to need a bigger boat (car)! I'm buying a Volvo estate in the new year, if I can't fit her in that Short of a van I don't think I can get bigger!

Amazing tom........ It looks like you can almost ride on top of this thing yourself.
I see that you actually have two spots for the Red October, across your kitchen counter, or in the middle of the kitchen floor next to your missus.......
Seriously tom, that is a beaut. Love it.
