Hi All,
Like to ask if anyone knows if the Watersons gear boxes that fit the KV1 and King tiger will fit the HL LEO2A6?? Ozarmor site say the HL M26/M41/and KV1 boxes fit the Leo2A6 because the sprockets are at tha rear of the tank. But I would like the Watersons boxes. Any info would be great . Brian...

Brian,

I ended up fitting the black steel gear boxes in mine, bought from forgebear as well as metal tracks, idlers and drive sprockets, metal road wheels/suspension arms I bought from Tankzone, I know I have read the vendors reviews, I am one who has never experienced a problem with Tankzone.

I didn't fancy redrilling the mounting plate for the Watersons, I am pleased with the black metal, they run well.

Good luck sorting this one.

John

Hi John,
Yea ordered the tracks and sprockets from Dave today. He will have the wheel sets in 2weeks. The gear boxes well I'd like to get the Watersons ones but I don't think they do them??. Dave said he has a set for the KV1 that also fits the Tiger11. So not realy sure about them.So might go with the HL ones.Doing this Leo2 to go with my TAMIYA Leo was hoping the challenger11 might have been out by now. They seam to be holding the release date back would have been nice to see for Xmas.I did have a few problems with tankzone and I spent £100s with them.So my trust in them has gone.Silly I know but that's how it is. Brian, I cant wait for the Chally2, it looks awesome, have fitted 480 motors to my HL Leo2 as we'll as a Clarks board, have sealed up battery compartment and cut off inside with dremel, now a nice flat bottom on the inside, upper hull clips on at rear held in place by magnets, now a much better solution than turning tank over.

Brian I would advocate the black steel henglobg ones. With standard ratio you should get the speed and they are very quiet and nigh on indestructible!

Make sure you get the black steel ones though!

Taigen are doing a bearing kit for these boxes which I hear does really good things for them!
