HAPPY TURKEY DAY TO ALL!

Funny how that term "Thanksgiving" can mean different things to different people.
This time last year over the Thanksgiving weekend , I had a paid volunteer drive a drilling rig I had purchased ,from West Virginia to the port of Galveston , Texas, to make a very narrow boat slot for a voyage to Australia, and an entire contract hinged on it- along with the livelyhoods of 20 guys.
Well, the thing had an equipment failure.................5 hours short of the port, on this sacred weekend, and that man stood by his job, as did the poor buggers in "no-bloodywhere" Tennessee that got inflicted with the repair duty, along with 2 guys from Ohio, that drove the key part to the repair shop non stop, which was arranged from guys in Oklahoma, via me in outback Australia
Rig made the boat, contract was fulfilled, life went on.

Thank you Herman, Australia has always been a valued and loyal ally to my country. As an American, I appreciate your people standing by our side in the war on terror and fighting alongside our troops. My father who served in Vietnam always spoke highly of Aussie soldiers. I know many an Aussie lady has been whisked away to the US following every war our nations have fought together!

What do I have to be Thankful for.................... .....Ah... I know.... having a 9 day ban lifted

It's interesting How Thanksgiving Traditions have changed....when I was a lad...helping my mom out in the kitchen preparing food of the family pot luck..getting dressed up...gathering with uncles aunts cousins and friends ...eat drink and be merry

Times sure have changed... The food and gathering still happen....Merry goes out the door..and changes into planning strategies for the day after...or 12 midnight whichever comes first .....................because at midnight ...Rings in the madness ...that Madness has contributed to the name of the day that follows Thanksgiving

That day...............BLACK FRIDAY




Which has it's Irony...because if you survive BLACK FRIDAY....that's something to be Thankful for
