Hi y'all

I'm at the point of installing a Clark TK22 board into my HL T34/85. I've gone over various posts on our forums and keep seeing recommendations such as Turnigy 9X (seems to be the peoples choice). Being the weazil cheapskate that I am and destined to look at less financially challenging alternatives I've considered a pre-owned (eeh we called it secund 'and when ahh wuz a lad)Turnigy 5X or a Futuba T4VF. Question is, will they do the job or would I be better off getting the 9X?

I assume you are buying your CLARK board from the UK agent, If you scroll down to the BLACKLIST you will find TANKZONE featuring strongly, BEWARE, If you don't mind dealing with a Canadian company then I would recommend www.immortalhobbies.com
First off this gentleman is a member of this Forum(FREAKY DUDE) secondly he will sell you a properly sorted CLARK board AND a TURNIGY 9X preprogrammed for TANKS, talk to him he is very helpful, once again beware of TANKZONE!!!! oh and welcome to the Forum :haha: :haha:  shaun

Thanks for the advice Jarndice, I'm on it and I will beware of the dreaded "T" place ( I've already looked at them and was less than impressed).

Hi these usually sell cheap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-flite-Blade ... 2a47c21d65
they work with any spectrum receiver orange receivers sell for around £7 to 8

you could also look out for the LP5DSM which is the 5 ch version , you can use the Planet 5 spring return in these radios so you can have both sticks self centre

regards pete

p.s I have 8 of these radios and never had a problem with them

I share your weazel cheapskate philosophy,

I can only say that the Planet T5 worked perfectly with my Clark Boards, just ten seconds to bind the receiver, sort out 4 channels and that was it, job done.

My only (small) gripe is that although the T5 is a bargain, the receivers are not cheap. Hence if you have 5-10 tanks and install a receiver in each at £15 each, that's £75-£150 on receivers?
