I'm new here hailing from Queensland, Australia

I have been reading this forum off and on for a couple of years and always keen on seeing what is being done by other enthusiasts and I thought that I'd finally jump in. Ive made models since a teenager and enjoy seeing my big models move. I have now 4 Heng Long tanks and have been moding as I go; 1 Tiger, 1 T34, 1 KV1 and 1 PzKpfw III. I'm eyeing off the King Tiger or the Sherman... not sure. If it was a Sherman, I'd convert it to a Firefly. At least that's what I'm thinking.
I have been now making stuff to go with and around the tanks in 1/16. Using a few Tamiya figures which I'm also converting a little too (that's why the guy here has no helmet, I'm making a camo covered helmet), to give some scale to these fantastic tanks, was a start. I wanted more stuff to help create some scenes. So I have been researching and building German ammo crates and other bits. Here are a few pics. I made the base too, roughly painted for now, but I think looks a lot like paved road and footpath. The locks were the hardest to make (after finding reliable measurements). Now I have created a mould and can cast my prototype lock with ease, it certainly takes a lot of the pain away.
I hope you enjoy these few pics. Soon I hope to get back to working on my tanks again. So little time.
