Hi guys can any one please shed some light for me on what the difference is between the Waltersons edition and the Pro Edition is from Heng Long please?

I've got my eye on both a Waltersons Sherman and King Tiger.

Greetings Merlin...mostly the Gearboxes....and some paint...Have seen those Walthersons editions on EBAY...they are not Factory direct...but some small shop in China that mods then sells them....You might be better off doing the mod yourself..depending on the tank ;)

The waltersons king tiger is a standard hl with plastic tracks , a duklegelb paint job and a fancy bag. Same pot metal gears as the hl I'm afraid. Don't waste your money .

I'm in England Alpha.

I was just wondering if I'd bought the best option as I went for the pro edition over the Waltersons.

As Tom added..it's just a lot of spit and polish...mostly spit :haha: ....Seriously...it's better to do the mods yourself...that way you will come out with what you want in your model... If anything I would opt for the Pro version of any brand then build from there ;)

PS. The pot metal gears supplied in the new Heng Longs are really good.. Taigen I'm not sure... but they are more solidly cast.... I have an old set of taigen pot metal gears...you can actually see the difference in the casting...reason no matter what anyone says... I'm still running stock cast boxes in many of my tanks :D

Hi Alpha it's good to know that I purchased the correct version instead of paying over the odds for something I am later going to pull apart and modify.

Does anybody make a full metal lower hull for the Sherman similar to the Tiger of Mato or Torro?

HMMMMMMM ....thought I replied to this... Must have been a premonition :haha: :haha:

But yes.... not available yet... Mato and Taigen are slated to release Metal Shermans...(taigen partial but full metal lower hull) the Taigen track look really nice...only problem is both will be sporting the older VVSS suspension ....it's kind of ashamed ...because schumo used to produce the HVSS in metal...but you can't find those anymore

Seen as I'm after upgrading my VVSS suspension to the HVSS is there any difference between the lower hulls for each of these as I notice on the HVSS model there is 2 upper smaller road wheels supporting the track that the VVSS suspension does not have?
