I have the version with the moulded on zim and a wicked paint factory paint job that I kept. I think it was good when it was the only one available, but now with Taigen I am not so sure. The gears are funky and I don't think you can find replacement metal ones anymore. The electronics are all junk as well. I replaced my lower with the new Taigen metal and just keep the top hull and turret. The factory lower is pretty bad, the suspension hangs too low.
Did you find one ? They are hard to come by, especially the JadgTiger version which uses the same lower. I can post some close-up pics here if you want.

Nope

....But Horses45 says he likes his ...he has two

...So I believe him...they must be good... just not for me because of the pre applied Zim ...like the idea of all those metal parts and torsion suspension...also that the new one is 2.4 gig
You definitely "Need" this one Tiger

ALPHA,
Its the Matorro King Tiger, not the new Torro KT. I don't think you can even get them anymore as they are out of production I think. You don't see them often anyway. All plastic and no metal parts at all with stock pre-RX-18 boards. Basically a shell but a pretty nice one at that.

So you have a line on the Matorro Michael? ... The Torro seems to be available... I just go with what Horses told me about them...he just got a new upper for his with the metal turret ....here's the link for the whole tank
http://www.torro-shop.de/en/rc-tank/rc- ... flage?c=58 they seem pretty reliable ...he got his parts in a few clicks ...you know me... if the tank is all plastic..may as well go Heng Long... at first I thought Taigen was better.... but after what Jack wrote about his... they really aren't that much better...He's upgrading his lower to the Torro....with that said..if you can get a Taigen for the price Jack got his...most definitely go that route...Keep in mind though... most of the RTRs have the skirts molded on... I wouldn't be certain...but the Tamiya is the only model that has them as separate components

ALPHA,
I think there is some confusion here........ If you click on the "Matorro" site (Which is on the same link as the Torro site that you provided), you will see that they do have a KT, but when you click on it you get a "Torro" KT which is the one with the moulded zims lower, metal parts etc etc. I am definitely dating myself here but Matorro long ago use to carry a KT and a JT, which has a moulded zim lower just like the Torro KT, but also a moulded zim turret as well, and it is all plastic, pre-RX-18 electronics etc etc. This one is pretty well out of production. I got mine couple of years ago and it was already hard to find.
Anyway, my bad here. I am assuming that tiger tiger is talking about the Torro KT, so I just caused all kinds of confusion for being in this hobby for far too long.......

Yeah ... the hobby can have complications.... I always thought of Matorro and Torro being one in the same company wise ...apparently they aren't ...specifically that is

...that set aside... Dang Michael..you just have too many tanks
Best donate that Maus to alleviate some of the burden

Donations accepted with great gratitude here in Hawaii

I had a hell of a time a couple of years ago getting my Matorro Jagdtiger but I finally found one in the UK and had it shipped here. The lower was total junk and I used very little of it. I had a Tamiya full option KT anyway I was using to kit bash and it worked perfectly. I had the excelent Tamiya running gear and electronics with a pretty good upper shell from Matorro. I know the hull is too short but only the rivet counters really notice that anyway...

Good Morning,
I remember the furor over the 'Matorro' KT when it was released. Mostly everyone was pleased that a non Tamiya King Tiger with a Henschel turret was out. Most of the negativity was centered around the bulge over the gearboxes on the lower hull. Some aftermarket stuff was made available for it about the same time that the HL Porsche King Tiger came out which caused some confusion with people ordering upgrades for the various makes. Guys like Phil Pflueger finally helped sort it all out with information sections on what went with each tank and their efforts still assist us today when buying upgrades. I'm right there with you, Micheal. The new 'Torro' King Tiger is a world away in terms of quality from the Matorro offering.
regards,
Painless

Hi troops thanks for your help, i have seen a new old stock ( I THINK) advertised from a shop, Mattoro kt with moulded zim on the body and turret and a custom paintjob for sale. It needs a few things sorted out but not seen one before and thinking of a new project after finishing the panther project. i do love a kt such presence, a big big tank.
