I bought a heng long flasher to go into my pershing. Connected it up via instructions on box but does not work. Does it only work with a recoil unit not bb

no it still works with the BB gun. but you need the micro switch to trigger it, so if your getting track recoil and sound but no flash its probably faulty, if no track recoil and firing sound then look at the micro switch.
