Hi Gents anyone done the Panzer IV one piece metal barrel upgrade yet ? I must admit I am finding this upgrade a tad difficult with no instructions. If any one has done this upgrade Please give me an idiots guide with pictures so I can get on with mine  >:( . Many thanks in advance

Alan I will be doing the same mod to mine when it comes have you got a photo of the gun barrel with a ruler along side so I can make my own I have a lathe just need a good idea of size to make one but will be making recoil out of existing gun unit going to copy it from panzerkitten forum tried the bought recoil units and had alot of trouble with both of them so going to make my own .

Hi Guys just a quick update on the Panzer IV metal barrel upgrade.  It's not going well looks like I will have to get a new mantlet machined up as you are suposed to use the old short barrel ( airsoft ) from the F1 model to slide your new barrel through ( hole to small !!!!! ). Looking at it logicaly the barrel then seems to SHORT. Untill I get the new part back I won't be sure. I will post pictures then and let you know. But for the moment it looks like it's best to go for the 2 part barrel replacement as advertised by asiatam or tank - modelbau can't remember which off the top of my head. Peter I will do better than that for you mate as soon as I get the barrel back I will post the picture with ruler and give you any other dimensions as well . Might even ask you to make me a better one if I am right about the length. All the best for now

Hi guys just to say go for the tank modelbau. de Panzer IV long barrel upgrade kit rather than the single peice barrel. The single pice barrel needs a LOT of work and messing about to get it to fit. Had to get a brass gun sleeve machined up and get the barrel machined down at the rear end and it's not quite done yet. Hope the pictures show where I am at the moment.   :-\
