My latest....... Been working on it for just over a month I would say. Lots of work it to RC it but still not quite done yet although most functions are there already. Juckenburg (again !) resin kit, with KT sprockets/plastic tracks, JT metal barrel from rctank.de, Clark from Freaky as always. The figure is Tamiya Rommel just for scale, haven't mounted the spare gas tank yet. Still trying to decide Germany Grey or Dark Yellow, don't know about the camo in some of the pics. Not a big fan. The 75mm is not fitted yet. Just stick it on for the pics so looks a little dopey..........

Micheal,
Extra Sweet! Now this tank deserves a little more of your magic touch. Make both guns firing from separate switches and extra sounds so you get the different report from each one when it fires. It will definitely will be a very impressive build! ;o)

Painless

If it helps, I believe the prototype v2 which had a turret mounted on it was yellow and with thin green lines over it. Vaguely similar to how the v1 with the v2 turret is painted now.

Thanks guys...... Since missing out on the eBay bid for the one posted here I caught the bug of doing one.
billpe, I know the camo I just don't know if I like it on the tank...... Painless, I had thought about it, maybe using the standard HL recoil for the 75mm and then a servo recoil for the main, but then they will both fire at the same time....... Anyway, didn't care for the 75mm it will just be tube for the IR maybe, not that this thing is seeing the battlefield anytime soon. I am having issue getting it to go forward properly. Backwards no problem, but forward.........
I thought getting the HEAVY turret to rotate is going to be the challenge but as it turn out my dual rotational motors did the trick again.

ALPHA,
Cool episodes. I checked out both of the Maus ones on Youtube. I guess that would be one way of defeating it.
Cool tank animations but can't get into the "Anime" part of it.

Well the anime part isn't for everyone Michael.... but there are advantages to it...the Japanese do anime because they can get effects that are still not possible with live action features...With that said... I didn't care for the story at first... until I got the DVD...It was the tank action that initially caught my attention... the story gave them life so to say...but you really have to watch the whole story...unfortunately ...not many episodes are on Youtube to get the feel of the anime...all I know is most of the people who have taken it in..like it...it is probably one of the better animes that has been released in a long time lol
There's a lot more to it than just tanks...as there are historical references to strategies... also how to actually be a crew member of the tank..subliminally placed through out the show...I have to say...it was the best 20 dollars I've spent...as I've probably watched it over a hundred times...it makes me laugh... and occasionally inspires a build

PS. As far as the KUROMORIMIRO school of tankery tanks go...the paint schemes are actually pretty accurate...but instead of numerical designation for units...they do it with color...the assault or fixed gun tanks are darker yellow brown with the exception of the Jagdtiger and Elephant ...the Maus is pretty spot on ....the only Tank that has a number on it other than the Monster Maus is the command Tiger 212

By the way Micheal...not much space in that kit... pretty amazed at how you got gearboxes to fit in there

Struggle I did with that. The biggest tank in WWII and I can't fit a gear box in there. Basically if you look close at the interior layout picture you will see the gearbox is installed on a angled styrene. That's the only I can get the axles into the hull, and raise the motor and gear part so it clears the tracks.
Tracks are still slipping off the sprockets when I go forward......... Tried everything, metal tracks, fixing the last boggies before the sprockets so that it doesn't come up when pull. If I put it up with no resistance it works fine. The moment it is only the ground it can't pull the track from the bottom without slipping. Might have to convert it to front drive but then it won't go backwards.
