Money conversion.

Ok I'll admit that I'm not that good at math but this seems wrong to me and maybe someone can help me understand this money conversion stuff. I ordered some parts from Dave, Forgebear, (EXCELLENT prices and service btw!) total cost of the parts shipped to me is 115.65 in UK pounds now when I go to money conversion sites and paypal they tell me that 1 US dollar is equal to .62 of a UK pound. Now this is where I get confused, when I plug in the total cost of 115.65 UK pounds it tells me that equals 191.32 U.S. dollars. WTF? This doesn't make any sense to me at all! If .62 pounds equals 1 dollar then HOW in the WORLD does that add up to 115.62 being 191.32 dollars? ??? I'm SERIOUSLY confused any help would be awesome guys thanks.

essentially the US $ is 38% less than the Pound Sterling so your cost will be raised by that 38%.

more or less one dollar = 60 pence ,,so to make it simple 2 dollars = £1 so the m50 would have cost you $415 more or less + plus postage not cheap[ and the thread is locked]......wot wot ......

That can't be right, I worked out if Jack bought the M51 for £220 at 0.62 to the dollar he would of paid
$366 for the tank. That's $50 dollars difference Canned.. :O

Well $191.32 USD x 0.62 would give you 118 British Sterling. It also depends on whether you use credit card or not there will be a 3% service charge for that so sounds pretty correct to me.

Ok guys my dumb ass figured it out last night while trying to fall asleep a US dollar is worth only 62 cents(or whatever) of a British pound.

Kinda depressing to think about really.
