1/18 scale Luftwaffe
Re: 1/18 scale Luftwaffe
Hi ALPHA,
The planes I have are plastic not die cast, so no weight problems. They would be astonishingly heavy if they where die cast. No mounting holes in them either, I guess because any stand would have to be XXXL to be stable whilst holding one.
Here is a pic with a 1/16 Tiger to give an idea of scale

Makes interesting comparisons from the 'Gustavs' to the Stukas. Those are nice aircraft mate, seems to complete the look of any tank having the correct air support nearby

Ah ha, one of the Photo Recon versions of the Spitfire, Mk IX I think A legitimately pink wartime plane
Apparently the pink worked really well at dawn or dusk on photo recon runs.
I like the Mk XIV too but..... no merlin, griffin powered, deal breaker for me I think my favourite is the Mk I.

Thanks Painless,
He does look a bit smug doesn't he . I am pleased with the end result from this kit . It is a great kit to put together and paint, quite straight forward and no nasty surprises. It also comes with an alternative head without a cap, which looks suspiciously like Adolf Galland but I preferred this one. Looks better with the cap I think.
