knowing Teddy.... A lot of mess.
There wont be a safe tree within 20 miles of his house now.

Can't help you Teddy if you don't tell us what you are planing to use the lathe for.... usually wood lathes come with three spoons ...one fine one medium and one wide for longer areas.....if you are planning on working on metal...it's a different story..because metal lathes not only run at a lower RPM but also require different tools

It is an old wood lathe.
I gave him a hand this morning to get the motor and capacitor out as there seems to be an electrical fault.

For now the trees are safe....

Quick update now have a bigger and better lathe!!! so I now make bigger sticks to order
been doing a roaring trade in ......Magic Wands (Harry Potter Style) and have just agreed a contract to supply music batons to a music store

Greenpeace are manning their guns as we speak...just as well there aren't any rare gorilla's living in Teddy's neck of the woods.

So...what exactly are you going to make with this lathe??

Ah! the worlds my lobster now!!! Anything from designer firewood to rodent bedding
well hope to get skilled enough to do bowls, boxes ,vase's etc.. I do a nice line in hand made pen's
.
I just find it sooooo relaxing to do, and its another skill i am building that I never thought I would be any good at
