While doing one of those "i am bored" searches on google i came across the following picture set on Flickr.
It is worth a look but i do warn you that the content shows the real meaning of war and what the Tanks we now model are really all about and that is Death.
There is much here for the Tank modeler in the way of close up Tank pictures but many are taken "before" the scene has been cleared up and in posting this link i feel i must warn the younger members of this forum of the intense graphic nature of this content.

Check out all the albums this guy has put up,i think you will find it interesting.

I didn't see one single bucket, what gives? Wasn't every member of every tank crew issued 2 of them?

As most of the shots are post-destruction I would hazard a guess that the aforementioned buckets had been 'liberated'
The buckets seem to be more common on the bigger tanks, leading to supposition that the engine cooling system maintenance issue was the driving force behind having them.................
OR, the erratic and recently unseen jack-burglar with his out of control M.G. has opened a new market in enamel buckets

I am beginning to wonder if the aforementioned jack/bucket burglar is not in fact a Quartermaster making up his shortages before the annual inspection
