My Tamiya full option Tiger turned up today, just opened it and I can honestly say I've not constructed anything like this before. i will have to take my time over this.

Looking forward to the whole process, I'll get some good learnings out of this one.

Its a big wow factor when you open the box and start looking.
I hope you like building the kit and if my advice is worth anything i would say,,read those instructions at least twice before you do anything and try to plan out any mods like pe parts so on.
I just completed the King Tiger and the build fun factor sure is high but the thought of cutting lumps off my model so i could add pe parts and other work like that can make you shake a little as you are not dealing with a £100 model.
So i say enjoy your build,post a build log for all us out here so we can have a look and get stuck in sir

Good advice there take your time and think about each stage of construction.i remember when I built the tiger1 many years ago when it first came out . Just on the last bits& bobs of my Tamiya

Thans chaps, to be honest all I have done reference the kit is read and re read the instructions. All I will probably do tomorrow is organise some of the parts into separate containers.

I resisted the urge to do any construction tonight by going off and fletching some arrows instead.

I more than happy to receive any advice that's offered, you can never know too much and right now I know sweet fanny adams about tank building. I'm sure that'll change. I will keep you posted.

Containers good idea I got mine from the pound shop you get 4 for a pound. You want one for each screw bags+ the bearings bush's and all the other small bits &bobs. I have 10 of them just for my tank building. Your doing it right by reading the instructions just take your time and you will have one very nice tank. And it won't be the last your hooked like the the rest of us . Brian...

Yeah, putting the parts bags into small individuals containers is a good move.

My only tip for the tank is leave the rubber off the wheels until you've completed painting and don't permanently attach the turret roof.

I assume it will be come apparent, but why not attach the turret roof?

Has the kit got a Bucket in it by any chance or do you have to buy one?,,,,,

Because you may want to get to parts in the turret in future or mount a TBU. It fits in nicely without glue and comes with its own weld marks.
