Too much tome spent twiddling thumbs on oil rigs led to remembering a 1/16 scale Tamiya Sherman (I seem to recall) that I longed for when living in Bovington 40 years ago..sadly it has taken this long to finally acquire a big boys toy for myself!

I have just recently acquired two Taigen RC Tanks....a Full metal upgrade King Tiger and metal upgrade M41 Bulldog in order to entertain myself and my Son. both models are stunning in their detail and authenticity in my humble opinion and provide a great introduction to this hobby. It has been interesting to read a few reviews on this forum so far to see other peoples experiences with these two specific models, and I will be hoping and grateful for feedback on a couple of issues I have with my KT. The M41 has been brilliant and returned to France with my Son....the KT has come back from the UK with me to the Philippines for R&M and to mesmerise my younger Son :P

Look forward to contributing and sharing my own tanking experiences with you.

All the best
GWF

Good Afternoon,
Welcome to the Forum. There are a lot of good write ups on the King Tigers of various makes and Heng Longs galore. Post some pics of your tanks if you can, please. We love to chat and kick the virtual road wheels.
regards,
Painless

P.S. The Tamiya Sherman has been updated and is available in a couple of different eras of detail now. Also, Heng Long and Mato both have a very nice Sherman out, an M4A3 and an M4A1 if you still want a good Sherman to detail and build into your dream tank.

Rigs eh...................offshore hardcore !!
Tis a true mark of character to be in this business for any length of time.
With such length of service you would have instigated the search for the "keys to the Vee-Door" many a time :haha: :haha: :haha:

This so called hobby we all find ourselves in now has the same "dont know why we like it but we do" as working through the drilling game................no use explaining why to anyone - they just won't get it.

Welcome in mate.

Fill out your permit and put up some photos when you can
