After the roof plumbers it’s now time for my roofers to reinforce my construction team.
pic297.JPG
My roofers started to work and after a short time is there already something to see.
pic298.JPG
pic299.JPG
But then first of all checking the correct angle through a sample out of a few roof tiles. I will use beaver tails - in double coverage.
pic300.JPG
Yes, looks fine to me, lying well at the roof battens and on each other - may remain so.
pic301.JPG
Then down again with the bricks and continue nailing of roof battens.

So, with the battens should then be sufficient so now the whole must be preserved; further then soon.

MAN....you have got to transfer some of this into 1to 1 scale you'd have something really breath taking in the end :D

Liking the roofing tiles....
Kind of surprised you didn't put down base boards and roofing paper before the battens 8O

An important part for a structural work is still missing - the topping out crown.
First I've been thinking about the size of the topping-out crown and then I've decided me for the building material.
As a basic framework served 0,8er copper wire (bell wire stripped of insulation), twisted and then soldered.
pic306.JPG
The whole thing roughly brought into shape and then a winding with still insulated bell wire.
pic307.JPG
On search of suitable material to represent the green, I'm finding anything in the kitchen. Seldom used spices get older rapidly unattended and before it further find use in food - down to the basement with it and so it ends as craft material.
pic308.JPG
Despite the advanced age of that basil smelled my topping out crown from this time point very spicy.
pic309.JPG
After coating the wire with glue follows scatter basil over it.
pic310.JPG
This then in a plurality of layers.
pic311.JPG
And in between from time to time let well dry.
