The old Henglong Panther which was a Panther upper hull reshaped and resized to fit the Tiger lower hull. Often called the PanTiger.

What i find looking at the pics is the size of the crew in relation to the tank, it shows the 1.16 rc tanks and 1.16 figures are completely out of scale to each other but which is it ? the tank or the figures ? hmmmmmm

.

Thanks for showing the old n new panther pics Alpha, that is something i didnt know about other than knowing my version was a pantiger but to be honest with you, i didnt know the difference. I love this site always learning. I might have been swayed to building a proper panther now Alpha ha ha.

That first pic is great. Interesting detail variation and subtle zimmerit..................kind of like the 'B' in subtle !
Be interesting to know the future context of the Brit crew with the Panther and how things turned out.

When I look at the photos of the Panther... I tend to think the Heng Long is a more accurate representation than the Tamiya... I read on one of Toms post where someone mentioned the differences in the glacis plate... and when I did my quickie that was not so quick... I did have some tamiya parts for that area... which did reveal the difference..... so I initially thought the Heng Long wasn't that accurate...but dang..I change my mind
