I've sent an email through the website and tried ordering the last two days with no success at using paypal to complete an order for more parts. I'm pretty sure I've ordered here in the past using this method with no problem. I've gotten no reply email yet either.
Maybe someone in the community knows this situation or the shop owner? This one shop has exactly all the items I want right now. Any help would be great.
The error:

Hmm..well, I wasn't even able to create an account there. At the point where you register: email address/address/create password etc., I used the 'autofill' feature of Safari to save time; it usually does especially if you have a long address as I have: one with a gaelic feel to it. Everything looked OK, so I clicked 'enter'. Suddenly, a pink alert (Achtung,Achtung!)...the district I'd input- 'Ross-shire' (sometimes 'Highland' also works) couldn't be accepted as a district of the UK. Thus I was electronically invited to select a more appropriate one. I was given 'Bath & Wells' as a hint. Scrolling down, I was horrified to discover

...that the
only
districts and towns available were in England

All at once, as if in some hint of a possible future; Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland had been airbrushed out of existence!!
When emailed about this potentially alarming anomaly, Felix replied that the 'district' feature was required with US paypal: "Just use another district, the function is only important for PayPal checkout in the US", he wrote.
Well, I did. I chose 'Cumbria'. But my address + Cumbria is going to fox some brain-dead, or massively indifferent, parcel-bashing courier. It will also not match my credit cards and Paypal account.
Anybody else been made living in a non-country, as a result of Axel's weirdo website software?? If you live in Wales, but opted for 'Uglee, in Essex'..did you actually get what you'd ordered?

i think you will find that the post office only uses the house number and postcode to sort the mail, the rest is pretty much redundant until the local postie puts in his sack. I used to be involved with these electronic addresses, as long as it was being used in the UK for UK addresses it was perfect, but when you had to cater for every address format on the planet it became a bit of a nightmare.
If it was working before but not now, I am guessing that there has been a software upgrade somewhere in the mix, and someone forgot to select certain areas as being included in the valid address filters.
The way I do it with Elmod, is to email them and tell them what I want. They create an invoice with the total cost and email it back, I then send a payment via Paypal to their Paypal address, from my Paypal account, and include a message confirming that the payment relates to the order that we had arranged. I also include the UK format address, just to be sure.

If you've got the correct postcode and street and house number you'll be fine

I'm just impressed that what you wanted was in stock! Everything interesting seems to be sold out all the time.

You're right there. There were just two items I wanted, that happened to be in stock. Two out of Twenty. I imagine a build using parts from Axel could be a protracted one; though most Axel references here have been positive ones.. Luckily, like many here, I seem to have several projects on the go at the same time...
As for the thoughts on postcodes etc.thanks; but,.. on a recent visit to a friend down south, in the course of a week she got the mail for three other people. The only thing the addresses had in common was the house number. Everything else was wrong. Hmm.. I suppose if Royal Mail and Parcel Farce will employ the walking dead, what can you expect? If you google: 'failed delivery', 'parcel lost in transit', etc.,the entries run to hundreds of pages.
By the same token, my house name is of a village on the Isle of Skye. Tracking a parcel, I noted that it was 'undeliverable'. Later it emerged..much later, in fact, that some 1/4 wit had sent it
to Skye...
I take the point about circumventing the system with a direct email, and paying by PayPal. Perhaps I'll give that approach a spin. Couriers invent all sorts of excuses for mislaying deliveries, and I don't want to add to them by giving them a weird address. A laptop I ordered recently disappeared in transit...vanished into the ether or some other unreachable place ( the carrier's shed, perhaps?.

) Amazon tracking froze on: "it's on the way..".but the wee blue progress bar never quite made it to the end..:
" A replacement
did eventually turn up. In one piece too. Considering the battering the packing had endured; this was a minor miracle!
