RC Tank Warfare community hobby forum

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Brad currently residing in the Seattle area of the US. I have been lurking for a while now reading a lot of post and learning a lot. I have been out of the RC hobby for a while now and decided to get back in after 10 years. I used to be active in the RC Heli but due to getting married and having a family, cut down on my hobby time. Last March, I decided to pick up the hobby again and decided on RC tanks because AFV always have interested me. I don't have a lot of painting/weathering experience, I'm more adept on the electronics side. So I decided on a HL Tiger 1 S&S version for my first one. It is a work in progress as family comes first. I ran it stock for a month and decided I would like to try my hand on the aesthetic side, painting, weathering, photo etch, etc. I have bought new metal gears, metal tracks, sprocket and idlers. I am not big into historical accuracy, just wanted to see if I can work with PE and see if I enjoy the hobby which I am, very much . I am attaching some pics of my WIP Tiger. Please forgive the inaccuracies, I was just trying to see how far I can go. I would probably correct them later . I'm glad that I found this forum, it looks like it is filled with great and very helpful people ! Thanks ! Here are some pics of the Tiger.

Welcome to the Forum. You seem to be top drawer at PE and your Tiger is turning out amazingly well. There's a lot to see and learn here and it looks like we will definitely benefit from your experiences as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Horses and Wolf. It's been a blast. Although I think I need an early eye exam and new glasses I'm in it for the long haul. Once I finish the Tiger, I am thinking of doing a modern MBT, maybe the Leopard 2A6 or the M1 Abrams if it comes out before I decide. Anyway, thanks again and I'll surely try to give back to the forum as my experience grows and for the indispensable help it's given me.
