Belated Intro

Hi,
Originally from Dorset, less than 10 miles from Bovington, but now living in the Lincolnshire Wolds. I joined the forum back in June and dived straight into the general questions section instead of coming here first. I'm pleased that I did, as I was given some good advice, before buying my first tank.

I would not class myself as a serious modeller. Over the years I have played with model trains and built some model aircraft (most of which were over engineered and overweight). If models were mentioned I was more likely to think about the two legged variety (but, nowadays, most of them appear to be under engineered and underweight)

I now have my first tank, a Torro KT. Ready built and, so far, not modified by me, so I don't think photographs will be of any interest to all you proper modellers (not even Painless Wolf). I'm retired and some days feel as if I have ten thumbs so am not planning on too much intricate work.

Slightly off subject: If you are planning a visit to Bovington I would suggest that you allow some extra time and visit the nearby Monkey World. Especially if you are having a family day out.

Welcome along TTT glad to see you here and glad you had good advice , I have to admit my 2 favourite tanks are my torro king tigers lol. But modding them are fun but when a hobby stops becoming fun then it's not a hobby !!. But post your pics up as we all liked to see what tanks each other have

And of course any of the Bi-ped models you may have on file are always a welcome distraction :haha: :haha:
I understand that the "underweight builds" are much higher maintenance that the "standard versions"
Welcome in mate, one of the best things Ive got into in a long year........................

Welcome my hairy friend, I have my suspicions to the reference of Monkey World is that you are in fact a frustrated ape sitting in a corner of a cage with a laptop dreaming of modelling RC tanks! :haha:

… If you are interested I have some fruit you can have? :silent:

"proper modellers" love to see any images of tanks, so get posting.

Whilst reading Photobuckets Terms, Conditions, Privacy, etc. I decided that it was not for me. :O

I think I read somewhere that pictures, up to 800x600, can be added to posts as attachments.
If this is ok should I post them here or in the "Show Off" section?

Good Morning,
If the tank is 'good as it sits' and you are pleased with it's appearance, use the Show Off section. ;o)
