Jagdtiger upgrade

Hi lads, I am planning on upgrading my jagdtiger to remote control using heng long electronics including a bb gun and I thought I would post it here. It is a tamiya base and hull, the base I bought off allan (tankman) and the upper hull I bought off ebay. The base is the old twin clutch type but allan removed the clutch and fitted a couple of gears I had given him some time ago, so hopefully with a bit of luck it will work fine. The first thing I am going to do is remove the track guards as I think the king tiger looks better without these, then hopefully I will put in a panzer III turret which will give me elevation and bb firing, This will be a big improvment over the push in barrel I have at presant I will also have to make one of the upper hatches open as I will need this to top up the bb gun. At the moment the upper hatches dont open. I hope to keep the paint job as it is as I like it and I beleive in dont fix whats not broke.

Great looking tank, i love the Jagdtiger just for the size of the thing, i dont think i have seen any RC Jagdtigers around so it will be nice to see yours running, when i got my Tamiya KT it was the old double clutch version, but i opted to rip the lot out and fit Heng Long electrics and 3-1 gearboxes, but i look forward to see some pics of your progress

T"anks Keith Im glad you like it I have done a bit more work to it I managed to fit the turret in it so I now have gun elevation and bb fireing I also took the track guards off what a job I think it was a tube of glue that held them on. I also opened the main hatch this will let me reload with bb's and fit a commander

I managed to get a heng long pershing or snow leopard as they call it must be a selling gimmick as no one else ever called it that so I will use the electronics off that I got it for £40 off a guy not that far from me a couple of small things were missing on it but it works and thats the main thing I will use the tank as a battle damaged one it will look good next to the jt when its done.

Hi guys I have done some more work to the jt I have put the electronics in with a fan to cool the main board down I have also fitted a charging jack to the back so I can charge it up without opening the tank up my soldering is not the best but it works thats the main thing. I have also fitted the gears to the motors and they work fine doing the exhausts was difficult every time I bent the brass tube to the correct angle it kept kinking I was told to put wire inside it before hand it helped but it still kinked so I ended up filling it slightly looks ok im happy with it. I will have to open the tank up if I need to fill the smoker or turn the smoker on other than that it can be kept shut I can even load the bb gun through the hatch at the top.
