Sorry folks if I've already started a build thread but I seem to have lost it! Anyway here's my start point, thanks to forgebear Dave my KV-2 has put on some considerable weight:

Appears I've made a boob of myself and bought the wrong gearboxes, these shafts are too long! Still they fit perfectly in the panther metal tub I have!

Tom,
I hear you. I almost put the driver's hatch on the wrong way this afternoon. I decided to come check before I glued in the pins for final mount.

Good thing I did. ( and this was despite poring over Sassgrunt's Stoke's Big Book O' KV's for a month ) I guess in Russia, Soviet Armor BUILDS YOU!
regards,
Painless

Tom,
It's looking good. Nice and solid. ;o) Perfect amount of track sag. Did you adjust slack using the idler adjusters too or just the extra link?

Painless

God no, I'd be murdered! The kitchen gets used for photos because of the better lighting. To be honest I'll probably be swooping between a couple of projects so the programable sounds of the ibu will help keep costs down.
Painless I'm actually struggling to adjust the idlers, I think they're prettying as far back as they'll go. The sag so from the extra link currently. I need to have a good look at the tamiya sprues and see what I've got and what I need.
