I have my chassis etch primed with U-POL:

Please, tell me if I should still apply the Tamiya Metal Primer on top of that or should I go straight to base coating with Tamiya TS-3?
Thanks!

Normally you'd just use a single layer of primer then your normal paint over the top. There is no need for a second layer of primer normally. However I have no idea what that Halfords primer is or what it might do with acrylic straight over the top.

I use both the Halfords grey and red oxide primers on all my tanks.
I find them to work really well, pretty cheap and easy to get hold of.
I did buy some of their etch primer to use on my first tank which had some metal parts, BUT, i decided to go with the Red oxide on its own.
So far this has been man enough after 2 years.
Id stick with just the Halfords stuff tbh.
Cheers
