Hi guys i fitted a heng long 2.4 digital tx rx to my jagdpanther today, i removed all unneeded rx 18 bits. The new system works ok but on the handset, the right joystick which controls fwd/ rev/ side/spin has changed in that , on the rx 18 push the joystick fwd tank went fwd, and moved back tank went back. ergo pushed to the side it turned to that side or span. on the new handset fwd and rev is achieved by pushing stick left or right. push stick fwd or back it turns or spins. confusing huh. ive checked wiring and all is correctly fitted. so is this normal for the new 2.4 heng long system ?

Did you try switching the left and right motor plugs ? What happens when you do that ?

I second this word of advice

...as I have found plugging the motor plugs into the Rx is a science

..get it wrong... and your tank will do opposite things

In Taigen 2,4 GHz system is the same - You should switch the motor plugs, because in 2,4 GHz system sockets are changed (the right now is the left motor and the left is for the right motor).

stuart,
It can only be a combination of switching the left and right plug, or switching the polarity of each plug (swapping the red and the black wire in the plug). You just need to make sure that they are consistent (i.e. red is always in the same position of the plug as the other red etc). I would try to do that to figure out the right combination.
Michael.

Try rebinding the system... perhaps some of the messaging got messed up somehow... it really should hook up and not have problems... I've done three so far and yes I did mix the motor wires on one...but since I have done that in the past with the normal RX knew what the problem was right away...other than that all the tanks run normally and fine
I'll try to take a photo of a diagram from one of the sellers hopefully it will help you in some way

Hello Tiger...this is the diagram from the vendor who I got my 2.4 system from...

it was their last unit...so I'm not sure how long the image will last..so you might want to print it out
Anyway...it's the early generation unit...the current unit doesn't have the ports for the smoker on/off and volume controls...those are now on the transmitter
everything plugs in the same...I haven't had any problems yet ...Knock on wood
Not sure this helps... but hopefully it does
GOOD LUCK

Thanks alpha much appreciated will have another look at it. Update looked at it and ive checked all wiring again and tried swapping motor leads but no change, i got the upgrade from boboxianshan so i have sent off for a binding lead for it to try that and see if it makes any difference after rebinding.

Wait.... you didn't bind it and the tank worked?

usually it won't even start lol... by god tiger...get that binding switch...it could solve your problem right off
Good Luck
