Help!

Think I may have just fried my brand new 2.4 GHz system

Long story short it due to my 1, haste 2 ham fistedness I have either reversed the polarity or shorted the power leads, end result was smoke from board horrid smell now left track motor run constanly regardless of in put.

Here's a photo of what it looks like now, is this salvageable or have I just blown 40 quid


The small copper strip appears to have broken, is this a fuse of some sort?

OUCH! That looks bad ferny...How did you get the polarities reversed? Sorry that board looks fried... there seems to be carbon burns and that white stuff around the chip...well that's a result of the surge

The leads fell out of the battery plug and some how I put them back in the wrong/ shorted them out!

I have ordered another one worst thing is I have only had it running for half an hour

OUCH OUCH! make sure you make the leads proper before installing the new one... it's the one thing about anything electrical now days... with all the micro circuitry you really can't repair it without some really sophisticated equipment ..not to mention acquiring the parts to do it... electrical current is fast...even with normal nicd batteries

Just something to remember ...Red (positive) goes into the square ...and Black (Negative)... goes to square top round bottom

Sounds like you've blown the fets! Unfortunate in this case I think that's going to be a new control board.

Yeah there's much, much more going on in that picture than just a melted copper strip. There's carbon forming on multiple contacts, the white stuff near the IC. It's looking a lot like a new board might be needed.

Polite words cannot describe how annoyed I am that have done this! All because of a dodgey battery plug and my stupidity lol

If you would like I can replace this board for you at a cost of $20.00 Canadian plus 13 for shipping. I have a few of brand new boards that I usually just scrap because I hate the Taigen and RX systems.
