Good Afternoon,
I looked for videos of this procedure and the closest I came was a video showing how to remove the Idler arm brace and adjuster. Looking at the assembly manual for the one I have waiting to build, there is a 'C' clip you would need to remove that holds one end of the torsion bar in place. Then there is a section of brass tubing that slides down, allowing you to rotate and remove the actual bar on one end. Loosening a screw on the other allows you to slip that end out and the entire bar should be able to be removed from the suspension at that time. Good Luck. Beefier arms are needed for these types of set ups.
regards,
Painless

Thank you Painless old friend, there are times when I wish the makers of 1/16 scale did not choose to emulate the original prototype, As I read your exposition my heart started to sink, for you have confirmed my thoughts on the work involved, and unlike the real thing I can't drop the thing off at the workshop and let some skilled mechanic do it for me, I may well keep putting it off in the hope that the Euro-Lottery comes up with a few million pounds so I can buy 131 from Bovington and forget about 1/16 copies, It was good of you to do the search, thank you and take care. shaun
