The bottom front glacis plate is at the wrong angle on the Henglong as many of you know. This throws the whole look of the front off and is a major problem to me. How do you fix it? Can it be fixed without changing the Henglong gear box? What is the best solution?? Thanks

Tom, is the Taigen metal chassis different than the HL plastic one ? I never noticed it. Might have to pull the old HL out to compared. Is the HL angle higher ?

I'll get a comparison with the panther f and the metal chassis I recently aquired. Tbh it's not massive bit noticeable.

Hey Jnewboy...The newer Panther G and Jagdpanther are much closer to Tamiya standards...so unless you are super picky... just leave it alone... the other option would be dabbing some mud texture on it

Ps You could change the angle if it bothers you...but that would involve a mod to the gearbox cage then clearance the final drive gear ..as that is just a hair away from touching as is

Alpha, what do you mean by new? Is there a certain serial number for the newer model? Would a Tamiya bottom fit the henglong top? Perhaps I could make my own bottom and transfer all the henglong gear over?? I'm looking for an easier fix though if possible.

Maybe what I should have said is Current Issue...though there are still a bunch of Tipanthers out there lol...I cannot say for certain one would mate with the other... don't own too many Tamiyas...have no plan to get any in the future either...but as a modeller... the best I can say is with a little work anything can be made to fit ..or made to look better

Rctank.de and forgebear on eBay.co.uk sell them, they're about £60 I think. The top is henglong.
