As the title says, i'm looking for a tutorial/video going through the steps of converting from an airsoft to an IR battle system. Looked long and hard but seem to draw a blank, anyone know of any such thing?

Hi Guys ,Now which system will you be using (O.K. one of you wants to use the IBU).
here is a link to manual for IBU

there are some videos showing how quick it can be moved from one tank to another.

Hi,
I just have the bog standard ir system for heng long, its my first attempt!
The BB has been removed, everything that I can work out attached! I have all movement in turret etc, just the recoil unit has me stumped a bit and I think I'm waiting on one little bit to test out the IR!?!

Is this of any use? shared from Blimp's post on another forum

- * Note , this is the older type system that has a 'flash' L.E.D. not the newest Xenon flash unit .

- Ignore the upper hull 8 pin socket and turret motor (bottom left + right) , the p.c.b. is where it starts. . .
- 3 wires , black (-) and red (+) go to the elevation unit motor where the red becomes another black wire , this goes to the top right side of the recoil motor .
- . . the other black wire from the p.c.b. (with the heatshrink sleeve) goes to the lower left of the recoil motor and then continues on through the plastic casing . . .

- . . . where it ends at the microswitch .
. . . the right hand black wire then goes to the other 8 pin socket , ( it takes the 8 pin / 5+2 pin lead ) ). . . that's it , on the far right ( pin no.8 ) - This is where things get confusing , red and black everywhere , DON'T PANIC !
. . . Going left to right now , the 1st red and black (pins 1 and 2) are for the I.R. L.E.D. ( usuallyin the mantlet .) - next , a red (pin 3) , black (pin 4) and blue (pin 5), these are the ones for the mushroom in the turret hatch . Joined onto this blue is another red , this (+) goes to the ' flash' L.E.D fitted up the gun , pin 6 is empty .
pin 7 , the flash L.E.D. black ( -) and red (microswitch +) - That is it ! Well done , now you can trace your suspect gremlins with a fighting chance of success . Good luck .
Blimp .

I knew I had seen some useful pictures but not a full guide somewhere, just couldn’t find it. Then realised must be on another forum.

Looks like I'm missing the small metal clip to send the recoil back?!
