Hello, well I picked this up from a local guy for a fair price and I now have myself a full blown project tank :)
It's a Toro all metal hull with brass gears metal road wheels and both plastic and metal tracks.
The top hull is Asiatam and the turret Heng Long.
Metal barel with upgraded recoil. Metal hatches etc/ a plug for charging battery, ir apple? Unknown make.
it's been primed rather roughly. The electronics are a mix and this is where I am a complete newbie so any advice / tips etc are appreciated on its guts.
Came with many metal upgrades, turret tracks, etc and lots of old heng long bits , suspension etc.
I am going to post the photos now and if you could take a look and tell me what I have and what I will need to get it up ad running I would be very appreciative :)
The metal details may goto my taigen tiger and this will be a battle tank as I want to join the local tank club :)
Thanks in advance here are the photos ! cheers Mark

Hmm ! No replies so far. :{
I
Hooked up some of the wires and it seems to work or at least
Make noise etc. now to figure out what kind of controller it needs and if it needs crystals etc?
I really am a noob and have no clue what I am doing. But detailing and painting should be fun. This will either be DAK or Bovington 131 ?
Are Tunisian exhaust covers available anywhere ? If not it's 131,
Yea done to death. But I have never seen it in the flesh and plan on
It on our next trip to Blighty :)

Mark,

From what I can see, the lower hull is actually the all metal Mato lower hull with the Mato 3:1 brass gear set. As far as the controller board is concerned, I have no idea but did see the "DBC" ID which I think stands for David's Battle Circuit, a custom system that integrate the RX-18 with some battle intelligence/compatibility with Tamiya system I believe. There seems to be a lot of custom electrical work done on the turret with custom Tamiya BTU base, and then D-sub (???) connector as well as the battery charge plug under the vent cover. I think there is also a Tamiya mushroom as well in the bits and pieces picture.

Hope this helps a little.

MichaelC.

Thank you Michael yes a big help :)
It looks a bit of a mish mosh of bits but I think it is Tamiya compatible
And I hooked up a battery and got a little life out of it. Now to figure out how to bring the beast to life :) thanks again
