Hello to everyone,
I am the proud owner of an 8 year old boy, who is the very proud owner of heng long panzer IV!
Santa left it for him, but it has spent more time on kitchen table than in use, so now we are looking to upgrade parts and hopefully improve reliability. So will be needing lots of advice on how to fix tank and how to keep costs secret from wife!

Welcome, we can assist you with all the modifications you require, advice, and support for the 8 year old and the tank. As for the wife, I can offer no advice, after being married 22 years she has never approved of a single Hobby, ship, airplane, tank or car. Hates my motorcycle with a passion and despises all tanks ever created. Beyond that she's a wonderful women and easy to please.LOL.

Cheers Blake

Welcome to the Forum, I am assuming you live in the UK although there are members of the Forum from all over the World, If you are, then finding a bad dealer is quite easy, just go to the BLACKLISTED DEALERS site which you will find next to the RECOMMENDED DEALERS site, the Recommended dealers will give free priceless advice and a range of quality fairly priced products, you will soon start to see the same names such as Dave of FORGEBEAR, Steve of WELSH DRAGON MODELS, there are many others, some are specialists, others stock a broad range of items if you want something and you do not see it on their site, E-MAIL them and ask. If you are from foreign climes both of the dealers I have named sell worldwide, I recommend you study the various sites especially the HENG LONG site if you are interested in improving your Tank, most of the answers to your questions can be found there, but don't be put off coming on to the Forum to get your questions answered, although I would point out if you direct your question to the relevant site you have a better chance of a speedy answer, we like this place it is both helpful and friendly and I hope you quickly feel the same way, OH and by the way most of us got into this hobby via our children but like any caring parent the spirit of responsibility soon took over, and as they got bored or interested in football or girls, so you could claim it for yourself! :/ enjoy. shaun

Good Afternoon,
Welcome to the Forum. You've definitely come to the right place. Pictures of your son 's tank build when you get the chance? We love to walk around and kick the virtual road wheel or two.
regards,
Painless
