How do you get the bleep, bleep, drive sprocket off the gear box drive shaft!! Just got my Taigen King Tiger, ran it appox 5 mins, right track quit moving, removed top section, found right gear train stripped, trying to remove drive sprocket from gear box, so I can get gear box out! Is there a youtube video? Sorta torqued that this happens right out of the box! Should I install another Taigen gear box or upgrade? These are metal gear boxes are installed.

use a small flat bladed screwdriver to unseat the hubcaps & then pull them off.
should be a small screw holding the sprocket on.
your gearbox's are almost certainly white shit metal.
get some nice black steel gearboxs, just make sure there long shaft ones

OK, I have calmed down some, figured the center hub comes off, yeah it does with a llittle prying. Still would like some suggestions on gear box upgrade, if any, for the Taigen King Tiger. Will give the people at IMEX a call in the am, hopefully they have parts on hand. Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I'd go with what lister recommended...the black steel boxes are worth the dollar IMO

if you are in the Uk... I would go with forgebear...actually even if you're in the states ...super reliable

the listing is for a Jagd...but they are the same... Low profile long axle black steel
Good Luck

I thank you both, for your timely assistance. Alpha, visited the link you gave me and sent the gent an email to find the postage cost. Guess I'll get the wife po'd at me and order a gear box set! Thanks again!

hi to you , i agree with all so far ,yep only get the black steel gears i have fitted several sets in upgrades now including my king tiger. Enjoy your Konigs tiger when its up and running, i think out of all they are the most impressive looking. I always wanted one after i went to see a real surviving one at Le Gleize in Belgium
