So I got a bit cocky on eBay, put in what I thought would be a none winning bid early on and ended up with a bit of a bargain.

Ok I thought I'll put it in a corner and leave it.

Then the same day these came up:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/76mm-turret-f ... true&rt=nc

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Tamiya-Mato-1 ... true&rt=nc

I decided I wanted the M51 but if not I'd do an easy 8. Unfortunately he listed the easy 8 to finish first so I bought both!

I'll probably do a separate easy 8 build in the future.

Looking forward to this one! Will be starting it proper when I finish the tiger.

So I didn't finish the tiger yet as I'm waiting for some tow ropes from Germany (that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!). However the Sherman stuff came today so I made a start. Some minor mods to the hull and it fits like a glove! I'm going to have to buy some bits from Jason's store like recoil, flash and recoil stay but I can crack on with the fun stuff like the rear deck.

Should have her mechanically done quite quickly. The detail will take a bit longer! I'm still after a firefly. Another German tank will have to go first though!

If your planning on using this hull .. would you not be better off cracking out the plasticard than cutting up a Tam hull for the guards?

My bits came from jasons store this morning, got the recoil, recoil bracket and a flash unit. Cracked open the turret and installed the bits. Also put the muzzle break together which is a bit tricky!
