Having been trolling the interweb looking for info on hybrid tiger 1's i came across this picture on the axis forum. There are no details as to which unit it was with and I was wondering if anyone could shed any light on it? It appears to be a quite early hull (I am basing this on the drivers periscope holes being present above the vision block) with late solid steel roadwheels but does not, to me with my very limited knowledge, appear to be either a Hummel or a Ferhmann Tiger. The cut down front towing shackle mounts would seem to place it as late in the war.

It's probably been sent for maintenance where they replaced the running gear with the only spares to hand. It's not to uncommon to see this combination as hulls would be repaired until they had irreparable structural problems. Turrets and running gear were not tied to any hull and fully interchangeable and company level maintenance had the ability to change both.
