I understand this is not strictly correct catagory subject matterial...............but today my wife rang with news that out of 23 Million people in Australia, we had been selected as 2 of only 8000 souls to attend the 2015 ANZAC day comemerations In Suvla Bay , Gallipoi Penninsula, Turkey. the 100th anniversay of the event that defined my nation and means so much .
Humble as the subject is, I am very proud to say I will be there "to remember them"..............

It is with anger and regret I have to say the United Kingdom hardly acknowledges ANZAC day and all it stands for, my apologies to all my friends in 1st Australian Regt, without their support I would not have the pleasure? of my grandchildren and of course the rest of the Australian armed forces and what do I say about the Royal New Zealand air force we could never have got through the Borneo campaign without you and those Bristol Freighters! May God bless everyone of you. shaun
