Good Morning,
Something I am considering for 'Maxene' and Crazy Joe's M4A1: http://shop.aaftankmuseum.com/ProductDe ... Code=84222
This site has some really good prices for the Tamiya 1/16 line as well. They may not come with the Tamiya radio since those prices are so low. Their parts selection looks good as well if JR's in Tokyo doesn't have the spare Tamiya part or sprue available that you are looking for. Just another resource for all and especially for us American tankers since these guys are based in Danville, Virginia. Apologies if this is a repeat Posting, I was looking for information on HL Sherman drive shaft bearings and these guys were mentioned on another Forum.
regards,
Painless

Makes me smile whenever I see those gear case covers, they are a direct copy of the resin ones I used to sell on Ebay a while back.I remember selling some to impact thinking it would happen, and it did!
However hats off to the fact that he did improve the concept by by adding the bearings and screw mountings.Mine were just cosmetic.

The originals can be seen here viewtopic.php?f=39&t=3155.

Good site though, sorry to stray off topic!

Steve.

Alpha,
*chuckles* I think I have seen them in use with a simulated battle scene with a KV-2. It blows a puff of smoke and dust upwards like a mini explosion. Of course, I cannot find the right YouTube video that showed this now.

Thanks for the 411 Painless ...just a tad anticlimactic ... but pretty cool if you think about it lol... a tiny mechanism that ejects the bogies would be way more realistic though :haha:
kind of like those crash cars of old... the ones you slam into a wall..causing it to burst into pieces..when I think back that far... I recall doing that all day :haha:

Steve,
Not a Hijack at all, Sir! ;o) I remember your build and am still delighted at the scratch built touches and innovations that you added to make the old Tamiya Sherman spring to Life. It is amazing that things that you thought up are being built in metal and used today to help tankers out. That is a pretty sweet thing that you have done for us all.

Painless

Alpha,
You could add a tiny sound chip of cursing tankers too because track and suspension work is a doozy in perfect, dry Depot conditions, let alone the field while under fire. O.o
