Hi first post so play nice please.

Ok,just been gifted a heng long sherman tank,hooked already,it came running sort of,pin was coming out of one of the tracks so I pushed in one of the spares,seems ok for now,metal upgrades seem the way to go

So moving forward sees both tracks moving but in reverse only one operates,same thing when turning,so got one lazy track that only works in forward motion.

Check to see if something is jamming the track or in the gears. If not it sounds like the board has blown and will need replacing.

Many thanks for the quick reply,I've just taken it out in the back garden having spent a few hours gluing all the accessories in place,it definately goes ok in forward mode so nothing appears to be jamming,so will have a look into a new board.

One other thing,the bb is working but sometimes nothing is fired then you get three at once,is the use of silicone sprays to be recommended.?

If it's a new tank then it should have that board in. But you don't need the wires so save yourself a few £ with this one.

Just a note to say thanks to all who offered advice,with a new mfu fitted It's all now working as it should.

So the upgrades are starting,first off just fitted a taigen speaker upgrade,massive improvement in quality,also got some scale chain,next up metal tracks and sprockets.

Is there an upgrade for the bb unit as in a straight swap out.

I don't think there's a direct swap.

What you need to do is replace the spring with one from a VS 1/24 and pack it at the back so the spring is already slightly compressed (about 5mm ant most.)

Thanks again Woz a bit more reading reveals that hl bb ammo to not be of very high quality,so I have ordered some precision ground 6mm stuff.
