Vintage 1/16th Tamiya Tank Questions

Hello everyone. I have a question. I just recently inherited two vintage Tamiya kits, new in their boxes, untouched as far as I can tell. First let me say I am an avid tamiya r/c fan so I have always wanted to own a 1/16th rc tank. Now I have two. The two tanks I have inherited from an uncle are a Sherman and a flakpanzer gepard. I know the gepard is a valuable collectors item. It is a very early model from what I can tell as it has the "RT" part number, not the regular 56xxx number Tamiya assigns their kits. Does this make it more valuable? I know the flakpanzer was released in 78, then rereleased in 86 (?) under the 5 digit number. I do not know if they only made one run, or if it was made for a couple years, then rereleased. My Sherman is of the same vintage. it too has the early part number. Being the Sherman is the early part number, it was purchased before 83 when Tamiya changed part numbers. is the Sherman worth anything? I was thinking of selling the Sherman and buying a Pershing or maybe one of the Russian tanks. I wasn't planning on building the flakpanzer. it just seems to valuable and a part of Tamiya history. Please let me know. I look forward to sharing my future r/c tank experiences with everyone!

The Sherman was the very First rc model tamiya released(1974 two years before any of their cars),
it is worth more in kit form than in made up ready to go. To get your Sherman to a point were it's turret turn etc, will mean many mods and messing about, let alone getting it battle ready. these Shermans made up in decent condition only go for about £100 on a good day. so i would keep it as is.
I would do the same with the flakpanzer.

The early Tamiya 1/16 scale Flakpanzer (Gepard) had a wired remote control and the lower hull was plastic it also had led lights in the guns. The box was of a action shot with background etc the later box had a plain white background hope this helps to what model you have.

Thanks for the information. If I want to sell the sherman where is the best place to go and what is a fair asking price? My geapord has the plain white background.
