Although not my own builds, I'm happy as Larry with how much I paid for the kit. Apart from the tanks the amount of battlefield gear was unbelievable. Not checked the battlessystems yet but tall the tanks work as they should so shouldn't be a problem with the battles systems.

Yes I watched them he had them up for sale earlier for a starting bid of 700 so you got them cheap enough

Re: Proud new owner.
Yeah I saw them first time around and watched them. Was going to bid but i've been on ebay long enough now to know when something wasn't going to sell.
That was the third time he'd listed them. I took a gamble on them not selling second time around and got lucky. Anyway, tested everything and there's a couple of issues that need sorting. Probably because he's had them in storage a long while, there s a lot of stickiness to the operation of the tanks. One Pershing seems to be fine, with just a little notchiness of the turret, is this normal?. The second is a bit more problematic but should be able to sort it. The Turret only turns about 40-50 degrees either side, however if you knock or nudge it, it turns a little more. I'll check the gearing for damaged teeth and relube everything.
The Panther however i'm not sure about. It will go forwards and backwards and turn left but not very fast. It won't however turn right, well actually it does but not correctly.
If I try to turn right it actually does turn right but in reverse, even if I am pushing the stick forward. As soon as I release the right stick it moves forward as normal try to turn right again it stops reverses and faces right.
Probably not a big problem and will just require me studying the instructions and sorting wiring and lube out. Even with these slight problems it's pretty much a bargain. Considering all three came with battles systems fitted

Was a hefty drive for me too, Hampshire to Nottingham and it took all the available space in my Honda CRV to get all the equipment in. Still, Glasgow is a bit of a trek, wouldn't have enjoyed that ride one bit.
When it dries out a bit i'll set up the battlefield and post a couple of pics but looks like there's enough stuff to do about a 30x30 mtr battlefield.

Re: Proud new owner.
I was very tempted to have a punt on these but I had heard some bad things about other tanks from this fella. Glad they're mostly working. The turret sticking is an easy fix, either glue up the slipper clutch (my preferred option) or swap the gear with the slipper clutch around with the one without in the rotation unit. As to the panther issues have you tried recalibrating the DMD?
Re: Proud new owner.
To be fair to him he insisted on demonstrating them to me before I took them away and he did mention someone was unhappy with an earlier sale but he insisted they were working when they were posted. No reason to disbelieve him but you never no.
As for your fixes, not tried any of them yet and as i,m new to the 1:16 scene. I'll take your word for it and try those fixes after reading the instructions. Thanks for the help
