Hello all.

I've got said bits of kit and nothing is happening with the tank.

It is all wired up correct I believe (Ch1 to ch, ch2 to ch2 etc in the 9x receiver), the red light in the receiver is blinking away as well. The speaker clicks with the power going on and off.

The controller has a profile that Immortal Hobbies has loaded on it so that all none movement controls are on the shoulder switches.

All this considered, nothing is happening at all. Has anyone got some ideas I can try? I have emailed Immortal Hobbies, but haven't had much joy in replies from them recently.

If the receiver is blanking then it has not been bind to the radio yet. If the receiver is binded to the radio you should see a solid light rather than blinking.

I would try binding it first. Plug in the binding plug, turn on the tank, the receiver should now blink continuously. While holding the bind button on the transmitter, turn on the radio at the same time. Your receiver should now be a solid light. Now turn everything off, remove the binding plug and turn everything back on. The receiver will not light up until you turn on the radio, and it should stay solid.

Also, depends on your setup, you might need to swap Ch1/Ch4. (i.e. Ch1 on clark goes to Ch4 on the receiver etc).

Ahh a little bit of progress.

The receiver and transmitter are now bound at least.

I have swapped the channels about (clark to receiver) ch1 to ch4, ch4 to ch1, and still nothing.

An outline from Curtis:

]Firstly plug the receiver in as follows, look at attached Clark diagram to see which is the proper channel this have changed since i redid the switches
Channel 1 on the Clark board goes to channel 4 on the receiver
ch 2 goes to 3 on receiver
ch 3 goes to 2 on the receiver
ch 4 on clark goes to ch 1 on receiver
Turn on Radio
Turn on tank ( make sure battery is at full juice )
switches on top of radio are
the board now controls tank the 4 switches at the top of the radio should start different things ie Cannon is rear right switch, engine is right front switch.
by activating the control sticks you still can get the board to do things, use the switches though as I find that easier.
The airsoft plug goes into pins 4 and 5 of port CN3 Go here ( www.immortalhobbies.com then to Clark board ) if you need to know what the control sticks do

I'm charging the battery again, but so far nothing yet.

Is it a Hobbyking receiver or a Turnigy receiver ? I usually only swap them if it doesn't work at all. When you move the right stick did you get any thing ? Or is it just the left stick function that is not working on the switches ?

I actually had coffee with Immortal on Saturday and he was telling me about the Turnigy set-up and I know he has changed it a bit from what I know but it is basically the same thing.

It is a Turnigy 9X8C V2 receiver.

I'm giving the battery a good charge before trying again. Flicking the engine switch as per Curtis' instructions didn't do anything.

Okay just so I understand, everything else works (i.e. Left stick and right stick) works with all the functions but the buttons does not, right ? i.e. if you move the Left stick to down and right you get the engine, but the button on the right front doesn't turn on the engine ?

When Curtis and I first set this up, I removed all the left stick functions other than turret elevation and rotation, but I think Curtis now retains all the left stick functions but also move them to the buttons as well.

Not a single input from any of the controls, be it stick or switch, does anything. . I'm giving the battery an all night charge to see what that does.

I'm beginning to wonder if either the TK board is broken or something is wrong with the transmitter profile. I suspect the former if anything though.

I'll update you on things tomorrow evening. My time that is. .

Nothing at all happening now . I can't get the receiver and transmitter to pair up.

There is a red light that flashes away very quickly, then slows down eventually. I am following the steps given, not they're not working.

Transmitter screen is showing 11 volts.

Time to get some dinner and try again later. Rather hoping this isn't a waste of £180...

Once the receiver and the radio is paired up they should stayed bound. You did remove the binding wire from the receiver once you got a solid light on the receiver right?

Maybe the receiver is wonky but I haven't run across it like this. You need to bind the radio nd the receiver before trying to figure out if it is the board. Yu don't have time there board or receiver to test right?

It might be that then. The light certainly isn't still though.I did remove the binding wire, yes. I'll give it all another try in a while and see what happens.

I think I'll unplug it all and start from scratch. The speaker clicks into life faintly when I turn the tank on. I'm taking that to be a good sign. You've lost me on the last sentence. I don't have a spare if that is what you mean.



UPDATE:

The two are bound again, I ain't touching that bit any more! . I can hear power running to the speaker. The tank still does nothing at all though.
