My Tiger I
This is my first ever attempt at painting a tank. This tank was painted tan from the factory. It is now Green and i have attempted to weather and paint the plastic tracks to make them look like they are steel

the hatch can easily be prised off. It should sit at roughly a 45 degree angle to the loader's hatch hinge. Also if you need any material for the exhaust pipes and small chains for the feifel filters let me know.

Thanks for the info Doc. I will make the corrections. I have some chain that I can use. Just trying to rust it up a bit with a dish of hydrogen peroxide. I have been looking for the some material to use for the exhaust pipes but havent found anything suitable yet.doc larsson wrote:Paul

Re: My Tiger I
Paul, Doc is right BUT!!!!! once you start down that path there is no end, next you will be removing the plastic tow ropes, of course if you do you then have to get metal ones and they need holding in position so you then look at all the Tiger 1 builds and start to make the proper clasps and then on to Steve at WDM for Schumo butterfly nuts, of course when you remove the plastic tow ropes you will have also taken off the cleaning rods, no problem you can easily make up replacements using cocktail sticks cut to size and given a wood stain, the brackets holding the rods and ropes will you now discover do not do the job so you make new ones out of plasticard. PAUL STOP!!!!! or the rest of your life you along with most of us will be fiddling with your Tanks to the exclusion of all else.

Re: My Tiger I
Ya....not going to happen.. as it sits the hatch looks like it does not come apart on the Taigen Tiger 1 models. All the pics i have googled show it as being in that position for this model. As for changing everythng on the tank, I not only don't have the skills to do all of this and i don't have the patients. A.D.D kicks in and I'm off doing something else ..lol. Mostly a winter hobby for me..

Paul,
They are right. It is a slippery slope that fortunately, is lined with fun along the way! What does Woz say? "Yay! To the Bouncy Room" or summat? *chuckles*
Enjoy your Tiger whatever level of detail you decide is good for you. It all works for us. ;o)
